My name is Molly Esterl-Byrne, LCSW. I have been providing therapeutic services for the past 33 years in the Denver-metro area. I graduated from the University of Denver with a Master of Social Work in 1988 and have been licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in Colorado since 1991.
Throughout my career, I have so enjoyed working with children, adolescents and adults who are courageously addressing problems/concerns and assisting them with finding solutions to improve the quality of their lives. I have extensive experience helping clients manage and overcome a variety of problems/concerns including depression; anxiety; bipolar; anger; trauma; grief and loss; relationship and family issues; life transitions; and chronic health issues. I offer therapy to individuals, families and/or couples. I also have been trained to provide EMDR.
I have had a private practice since 2014 that has served clients in the Arvada, Westminster, Broomfield and Thornton areas. Other relevant work experiences include providing therapy to clients in residential and day treatment settings; emergency and inpatient settings; and traditional outpatient settings.
My treatment philosophy is to provide care in a “client-centered” manner by focusing on the issues and concerns that are most important to the client. Within a compassionate and therapeutic relationship, treatment interventions that are congruent with the client’s strengths and values are utilized. The achievement of therapeutic goals is the result of collaborative efforts by the therapist and client. Feedback from the client throughout the therapeutic process is genuinely encouraged to make sure that the client’s needs are being met.
In my personal life, I enjoy spending time with my husband of 25+ years and my adult daughter. I also enjoy exercise, reading and spending time with good friends. I value my “quiet time” to manage stress and restore balance in my life. My spiritual life is important to me as it helps to guide my daily decisions and behavior.
