About me
I’ve lived in Colorado since 1997 and am married and have three children. I’ve had a longstanding curiosity about people and what drives their behavior. This curiosity eventually led me to the field of clinical social work and specifically, psychotherapy. The most rewarding part about my job is when my work with a client assists them in beginning to make some positive changes in their lives and relationships.
About my practice
Population: Adults of all ages. Specialties: Anxiety, Bipolar, Depression, Grief and Loss, Mood disorders, Personality disorders, Post-Traumatic Stress disorder, Trauma, and other chronic conditions. Interventions: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Insight-Oriented Therapy and EMDR Therapy. I am a generalist behavioral health therapist and I treat individuals. I work to provide my clients with a warm, nonjudgmental environment in which they are able to learn, grow, and heal. I take a strength-based perspective in that I believe in partnering with you to build on your existing strengths and to improve your resilience. I also assist clients in gaining and integrating new knowledge and insight and in developing new skills.
A little more about me
I enjoy giving back to my community by volunteering with the homeless population in the Denver area. You’ll also find me often at my kids’ schools. For enjoyment I like to spend time with my family. I also make sure to have some physical activity in my life and enjoy skiing and running and have completed 4 half marathons in the last few years.
